The Cape Jourimain lighthouse was built in 1870, and now stands on the grounds of the non-profit nature centre located near the New Brunswick base of the Confederation Bridge.

The elegant 72-foot tall tower is a major draw for the nature centre's almost 20,000 visitors each year, but the structure continues to deteriorate.
