SUMMERSIDE – Two lighthouses that have been part of Summerside’s heritage for more than 100 years are among those properties being divested by the federal government.

The Indian Head Lighthouse, built in 1881 at MacCallum’s Point, and the Summerside Back Range Light, constructed in 1895 on Glovers Shore Road, could go the way of the dinosaur unless petitions are made to the government to take them over.
